We roast our coffees in small batches with an electric fluid- hot air roaster that offers several advantages over traditional drum and gas roasters. Fluid hot air roasters do not scorch coffee beans as drum roasters are known to, nor are the beans coated with residue, as is often the case with gas roasters. During fluid- hot air roasting, coffee beans are suspended in a fountain of electrically heated air. The heated air reaches the beans from all directions, assuring that they are evenly roasted. This method allows for a more accurate control of the roasting process, and in turn enhances flavour development.
